So what is Opal Standard Estaz Material?  Opal Standard Estaz Material is center length material with Opalescence highlights, sitting in-between the longer length of Metallique Material and Grande Estaz Material.  But longer than Petite and Micro Estaz Material.  This material is best suited for Size 8 hooks but works just as well on Size 6 and Size 10 hooks.  It would be considered a grande material for hooks Size 12 to Size 14.  It is not recommended on Hooks Size 16 or 18.  Metz Premium Tying Materials describes Standard Estaz Material as "The best in flashy chenilles, a very strong core wrapped mylar strand with long fibers for an active flash.  It is easy to work with on all Salmon, Steelhead and Trout Patterns."
